Simplify the Painting with Spray Paints

Spray painting is a technique of painting in which paint is sprayed through a device onto a surface in air. This method is used to paint or varnish a material. Compress air is used to automize and direct the paint articles. Spray guns are commonly used under this method of painting. The guns are available in different sizes and are selected according to the paint pattern and the area to be painted. Air gun is used on the equipments that are generally big in size and shape for their even coating. It covers the large surface and takes comparatively less time.

Spray paints guns are either automated or hand-held with interchangeable heads to execute different spray patterns. These are portable and easy to store. Different colors are available in spray painting. One of the most commonly used colors is black. The sprays are of high quality, fast drying paint and it is suitable for both interior and exterior use. Some sprays are CFC-free and contain no such particles that can damage the ozone, which makes them perfect for both industrial and home use. Some of them are water resistant as well. Apart from this there are various other colors as well which are commonly used like blue, green, red, white, yellow etc.

The spray paints are used for several purposes. Apart from industrial usage these are used for hobby and decoration purposes. Many children prefer these paints for decoration as these are easy to use and take less time. In the field of art and crafts these colors are widely used to beautify the crafted creations. The other related purposes are stenciling, wood, glass, concrete and metal painting etc. the spray paints becomes oil resistant as well, after the ink gets dry.

The one who is using these spray colors should be also be aware of the harmful constituents used in the same. The colors contain xylene or toluene, which is a toxic component. While using these, a person has to wear a mask, so that, he should not consume the lethal elements. Moreover, he should also wear gloves to protect the hands from absorption of the chemical substances through skin.

The gun which is used in spray painting has a nozzle, paint basin and an air compressor. On pressing the trigger the paint gets mixed up with the compressed air and releases a fine spray. Different size and shapes are available for the nozzles which are generally selected according to the size of the equipment to be painted. The nozzles that are commonly being used are the full cone, hollow cone, and flat stream nozzles.

During manual spray painting the gun is held by the person at a distance for about 6 to 10 inches from the targeted article and with a back and forth movement the painting procedure is executed to ensure even coating on the surface.

Spray paints have a lot of different uses, but, it has to be used with cautions so that it should not give adverse results. A person has to follow the safety measures, to protect him from harmful substances present in the paint composition.
