LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Taylor Kitsch in ‘John Carter’Caption Taylor Kitsch in ‘John Carter’Taylor Kitsch steps into his first leading feature film role in the upcoming sci-fi action adventure movie, “John Carter,” a project he called “an incredible journey,” – but one that took its toll on his body.

“Many [bumps and bruises],” the 30-year-old actor, who plays the title character in the Disney movie about a Civil War solider who is mysteriously transported to Mars and is quickly entrenched in the planet’s own civil war, told Access Hollywood.

“Some groin tears, to high ankle sprains, some good cuts,” Taylor told Access at the movie’s junket in Carefree, Ariz., when asked about his on-set injuries. “I would love a bruise on some days, compared to what I was actually dealing with.”

Despite his numerous injuries and hours wearing a harness – used to create the film’s out of this world action sequences – Taylor was committed to nailing the character created by author Edgar Rice Burroughs a 100 years ago.

“I loved the challenge,” Taylor told Access, explaining that he wanted to bring “heart” to his character.

In addition to his epic Disney movie, Taylor also has “Battleship” and Oliver Stone’s “Savages” coming up – but what about a movie version of the beloved “Friday Night Lights,” where he played tortured football star/heartbreaker Tim Riggins?

“I don’t know!” Taylor said of rumors of a big screen sequel to the series (which was adapted for the small screen from the original 2004 movie). “I have no idea what’s going on.”

Taylor told Access that he has yet to see a script and doesn’t even know if one exists for the rumored project, but if he gets his way, “FNL” fans may not see Riggins rehashed on the big screen.

”[Series creator] Pete [Berg] knows this as much as anyone else… I love the way that we ended the character of where he’s at,” Taylor explained. “I love playing him, but I think I want to leave him the way that it is.”

“John Carter” opens in theaters on March 9.

Jennifer Aniston Nixes ‘Friends’ Movie Idea, But Is A TV Reunion Possible?

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jennifer Aniston is all smiles while she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Hollywood, Calif. on February 22, 2012 Caption Jennifer Aniston is all smiles while she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Hollywood, Calif. on February 22, 2012 It’s been eight years since the last cup of coffee was sipped by Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, Monica, Chandler and Joey at Central Perk on “Friends” – and if Jennifer Aniston has anything to say about it, it will stay that way – unless her five former co-stars agree to a reunion on TV.

The star was asked about a possible reunion for the characters – a TV special or big screen version of the popular series has been talked about since the sitcom ended in 2004 – something Jen doesn’t see happening.

“No, there will be none,” the actress told MTV News. “I don’t think so. … Wouldn’t that be weird?”

Adding, “I would be like, ‘Oh god, why did they do that?’”

Jen spoke out further on the “Friends” reunion idea to The Hollywood Reporter, saying a big screen version wouldn’t work.

”‘Friends’ is in your living room; ‘Friends’ is not in a movie theater. It doesn’t make sense to me. I think it would be going against its authentic self,” she told THR.

She was open to the possibility of a TV endeavor though.

“It would probably take those five actors and be somewhere where we left off,” she said of her former co-stars. “I loved what I did for 10 years; it was pure joy and nothing but fun, and it’d be hard to top it. The way we sort of felt the excitement of what ‘Friends’ was when it started, it would have to be something where you felt a similar charge. But I’ll never ever say never.

Earlier on Wednesday, the 43-year-old “Wanderlust” star was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where Access Hollywood correspondent Tim Vincent caught up with the actress, who was joined by dad John Aniston, Adam Sandler, Kathryn Hahn and Malin Ackerman.

“It’s a real big honor,” Jen said of her star, explaining that as a Los Angeles native she has always been enamored with the Hollywood landmark. “Never did I put it mind my mind that that would be me!”
